This section describes how to view application resource usage.

Prerequisites

  • You need to join a cluster and have the Monitoring View permission in the cluster. For more information, see Cluster Members and Cluster Roles.

  • The WizTelemetry Monitoring extension must be installed and enabled on the KubeSphere platform.

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has Monitoring View permissions and enter your cluster.

  2. Click Monitoring and Alerting > Application Monitoring in the left navigation pane.

  3. On the Application Monitoring page, on the Resource Usage tab, view the cluster resource usage, application resource usage, and project count.

    Parameter Description

    Cluster Resource Usage

    The amount of CPU and memory resources currently used by the cluster.

    Application Resource Usage

    The number of Deployments, StatefulSets, DaemonSets, Jobs, CronJobs, Persistent Volume Claims, Services, Ingresses, and pods created in the current cluster.

    Project Count

    The number of projects in the current cluster.

    • Click the line charts in Cluster Resource Usage and Application Resource Usage to view detailed information about resource usage over time. Select a project and click OK to view resource usage information for a specific project.

    • Click timed-task in the upper right corner to set the time range.

    • Click start/pause in the upper right corner to enable/disable real-time data refresh.

    • Click refresh in the upper right corner to refresh data manually.
