This section describes how to view the scheduler status. The scheduler determines which nodes pods run on based on pod resource requirements, node available resources, and other constraints.

Prerequisites

  • You need to join a cluster and have the Monitoring View permission in the cluster. For more information, see Cluster Members and Cluster Roles.

  • The WizTelemetry Monitoring extension must be installed and enabled on the KubeSphere platform.

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has Monitoring View permissions and enter your cluster.

  2. Click Monitoring and Alerting > Cluster Monitoring in the left navigation pane.

  3. On the Cluster Monitoring page, click the Scheduler Monitoring tab to view the operational status of the scheduler.

    • The Scheduler Monitoring tab provides the following information:

      Metric Description

      Scheduling Count

The cumulative count of successful, erroneous, and failed pod scheduling events within the specified time range.

      Scheduling Rate

The number of successful, erroneous, and failed pod scheduling events per second within the specified time range.

      Scheduling Latency

The 99th percentile, 90th percentile, median, and average pod scheduling latency within the specified time range.

    • Click timed-task in the upper right corner to set the time range.

    • Click start/pause in the upper right corner to enable/disable real-time data refresh.

    • Click refresh in the upper right corner to refresh data manually.
