This section describes how to use the 'KubeSphere Multi-Cluster Agent Connection' extension for proxy connections between clusters.

KubeSphere’s Tower component is used for proxy connections. Tower is a tool for establishing network connections between clusters through a proxy. If the host cluster cannot directly access member clusters, you can expose the proxy service address of the host cluster, allowing member clusters to connect to the host cluster via the proxy. This connection method is applicable when member clusters are deployed in a private environment (e.g., an IDC) and the host cluster can expose its proxy service. It is also suitable when your clusters are distributed across different cloud providers.

After installing the 'KubeSphere Multi-Cluster Agent Connection' extension in the host cluster, a service named tower will be automatically created in the system project kubesphere-system. Through this service, member clusters can be added via proxy connection.
