This section describes how to take down and bring up microservice instances. A taken-down microservice instance will no longer receive business traffic.

Prerequisites

  • The KubeSphere Spring Cloud extension must be installed and enabled on the KubeSphere platform.

  • You need to join a project and have the Spring Cloud Microservice Management permission in the project. For more information, see Project Members and Project Roles.

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has Spring Cloud Microservice Management permissions and enter your workspace.

  2. Click  Spring Cloud > Microservices in the left navigation pane.

  3. Select a project from the drop-down list in the upper left corner of the page.

  4. On the right side of the microservice, click plus-square to open the microservice instance list.

  5. To take down a microservice, click more on the right side of the target microservice instance, and then select Take Down from the dropdown list.

  6. To bring up a taken-down microservice, click more on the right side of the target microservice instance, and then select Bring Up from the dropdown list.
