This section describes how to edit the information of a volume snapshot content.

You can edit the alias and description of a volume snapshot content. KubeSphere does not support editing the name of a volume snapshot content.

Prerequisites

  • The KubeSphere Storage extension must be installed and enabled on the KubeSphere platform.

  • You need to join a cluster and have the Volume Snapshot Content Management permission in the cluster. For more information, see Cluster Members and Cluster Roles.

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has Volume Snapshot Content Management permissions and enter your cluster.

  2. Click Storage > Volume Snapshots in the left navigation pane.

  3. On the Volume Snapshots page, click Volume Snapshot Contents to open the volume snapshot contents list.

  4. Click more on the right side of the volume snapshot content you want to operate on, and then select Edit Information from the drop-down list.

  5. In the Edit Information dialog box, set the alias and description for the volume snapshot content, and then click OK.

    Parameter Description

    Alias

    The alias of the volume snapshot content. Different volume snapshot contents can have the same alias.

    Description

    The description of the volume snapshot content. The description can contain any characters, with a maximum of 256 characters.
