This section describes how to view volume snapshot content details.

Prerequisites

  • The KubeSphere Storage extension must be installed and enabled on the KubeSphere platform.

  • You need to join a cluster and have the Volume Snapshot Content View permission in the cluster. For more information, see Cluster Members and Cluster Roles.

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has Volume Snapshot Content View permissions and enter your cluster.

  2. Click Storage > Volume Snapshots in the left navigation pane.

  3. On the Volume Snapshots page, click Volume Snapshot Content, then click the name of a volume snapshot content to open its details page.

  4. On the volume snapshot content details page, view the resource attributes of the snapshot in the Attributes area.

    Parameter Description

    Status

    The status of a VolumeSnapshotContent.

    • Ready: The VolumeSnapshotContent has been created successfully, and the snapshot data has been saved to the backend storage system.

    • Not Ready: The VolumeSnapshotContent is being created or deleted.

    Capacity

    The capacity of the persistent volume corresponding to the volume snapshot content.

    Volume Snapshot Class

    Volume snapshot class used for creating volume snapshots.

    Snapshot Handle

    The unique identifier of the volume snapshot content in the backend storage system.

    Provisioner

    The storage plugin corresponding to the volume snapshot class.

    Deletion Policy

    The policy applied to the volume snapshot content when the volume snapshot is deleted. The deletion policy is set in the corresponding volume snapshot class.

    • Delete: After the volume snapshot is deleted, the system automatically deletes the volume snapshot content.

    • Retain: After the volume snapshot is deleted, the system does not automatically delete the volume snapshot content.

    Creation Time

    The creation time of the volume snapshot content.

    Creator

    The user who created the volume snapshot content.

  5. On the details page, click the Resource Status tab to view the volume snapshot name and volume snapshot class corresponding to the volume snapshot content.

  6. On the details page, click the Metadata tab to view the labels and annotations of the volume snapshot content.

  7. On the details page, click the Events tab to view the events of the volume snapshot content.

    Parameter Description

    Type

    The type of the event, including Normal and Warning.

    Reason

    The reason why the event occurred.

    Occurrence Time

    The time when the event occurred.

    Source

    The component that reported the event.

    Message

    The content of the event message.
