This section describes how to delete a volume snapshot.

Warning

Once a volume snapshot is deleted, it cannot be recovered. Please exercise caution when performing this operation to avoid data loss.

Prerequisites

  • The KubeSphere Storage extension must be installed and enabled on the KubeSphere platform.

  • You need to join a cluster or project and have the Volume Snapshot Management permission in the cluster or project. For more information, please refer to Cluster Roles and Project Roles.

Delete a Single Volume Snapshot

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console as a user with Volume Snapshot Management permissions and go to your cluster or workspace.

  2. Click Storage > Volume Snapshots in the left navigation pane.

  3. On the right side of the volume snapshot you want to delete, click more, then select Delete from the dropdown list.

  4. In the Delete Volume Snapshot dialog box, enter the name of the volume snapshot, then click OK.

Delete Volume Snapshots in Batches

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console as a user with Volume Snapshot Management permissions and go to your cluster or workspace.

  2. Click Storage > Volume Snapshots in the left navigation pane.

  3. Select the checkbox on the left of the volume snapshot to be deleted, and then click Delete above the volume snapshot list.

  4. In the Batch Delete Volume Snapshots dialog box, enter the name of the volume snapshot and click OK.

    Use commas (,) and spaces to separate multiple names.
