This section describes how to edit information for a volume snapshot class.

You can edit the alias and description of a volume snapshot class. KubeSphere does not support editing the name of a volume snapshot class.

Prerequisites

  • The KubeSphere platform needs to have the KubeSphere Storage extension installed and enabled.

  • You need to join a cluster and have the Volume Snapshot Class Management permission in the cluster. For more information, see Cluster Members and Cluster Roles.

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has Volume Snapshot Class Management permissions and enter your cluster.

  2. Click Storage > Volume Snapshot Classes in the left navigation pane.

  3. On the right side of the volume snapshot class you want to operate, click more, and then select Edit Information from the dropdown list.

  4. In the Edit Information dialog, set the alias and description for the volume snapshot class, and then click OK.

    Parameter Description

    Alias

    The alias for the volume snapshot class. Aliases can be the same for different volume snapshot classes.

    Description

    The description information for the volume snapshot class. The description can contain any characters, up to a maximum of 256 characters.
