This section describes how to edit network policy information.

You can edit the alias and description of a network policy. KubeSphere does not support editing the name of a created network policy.

Prerequisites

  • You need to join a cluster and have the Cluster Network Resource Management permission in the cluster. For more information, see Cluster Members and Cluster Roles.

  • The KubeSphere Network extension must be installed and enabled on the KubeSphere platform.

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has Cluster Network Resource Management permissions and enter your cluster.

  2. Click Network > Network Policies in the left navigation pane.

  3. Click more on the right side of the network policy you want to operate on, and then select Edit Information from the drop-down list.

  4. In the Edit Information dialog box, set the alias and description for the network policy, and then click OK.

    Parameter Description

    Alias

    The alias of the network policy. Network policies in different projects can have the same alias.

    Description

    The description of the network policy. The description can contain any characters, with a maximum of 256 characters.
