This section describes how to edit muting policy information.

You can edit the alias and description of a muting policy. KubeSphere does not support editing the name of a created muting policy.

Prerequisites

  • You need to have the platform-admin role in the KubeSphere platform. For more information, see Users and Platform Roles.

  • The WizTelemetry Notification extension needs to be installed and enabled on the KubeSphere platform.

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has the platform-admin role.

  2. In the upper right corner of the page, click the grid icon and select WizTelemetry Observability Platform.

  3. Click Notification > Notification Settings in the left navigation pane.

  4. Click more on the right side of the muting policy you want to operate on, and then select Edit Information from the drop-down list.

  5. In the Edit Information dialog box, set the alias and description for the muting policy, and then click OK.

    Parameter Description

    Alias

    The alias of the silence policy. Different silence policies can have the same alias.

    Description

    The description of the silence policy. The description can contain any characters and has a maximum length of 256 characters.
