This section describes how to view the list of alert rule groups.

Prerequisites

You need to have the platform-admin role in the KubeSphere platform. For more information, refer to Users and Platform Roles.

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has the platform-admin role.

  2. In the upper right corner of the page, click the grid icon and select WizTelemetry Observability Platform.

  3. Click Global Alerting > Built-in Rule Groups/Custom Rule Groups in the left navigation pane.

    • The rule group list provides the following information:

      Parameter Description

      Name

      The name of the rule group.

      Rule Group Status

      Indicates whether the rule group is currently enabled.

      Rule Status

      The status of the alerting rules contained within the rule group.

      • Not Triggered: The monitoring metric does not meet the preset conditions. The system does not generate alerts in this state.

      • Verifying: The monitoring metrics meet the preset conditions but have not yet satisfied the preset duration.

      • Triggered: The monitoring metrics meet the preset conditions and have satisfied the preset duration.

      • Disabled: The alert rule is disabled.

      Cluster

      The cluster where resources are monitored using this rule group.

      Last Checked

      The execution time of the most recent metric check.

    • Click the search box above the list and set search criteria to search for rule groups by name, rule group status, and rule status.

    • Click refresh in the upper right corner of the list to refresh the list information.

    • Click cogwheel in the upper right corner of the list to customize the information displayed in the list.

Note
  • When clusters are added or removed, the cluster column information in the rule group list is not updated synchronously.

  • When a cluster is removed, rule groups that only apply to that cluster are not automatically deleted.
