This section describes how to view the alert list.

Prerequisites

  • The WizTelemetry Alerting extension must be installed and enabled on the KubeSphere platform.

  • You need to join a cluster or project and have the Alert Viewing permission in the cluster or project. For more information, please refer to Cluster Roles and Project Roles.

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console as a user with Alert Viewing permissions and enter your cluster or workspace.

  2. Click Monitoring & Alerting > Alerts in the left navigation pane.

  3. On the Alerts page, click From Custom Rules or From Built-in Rules to open the alert list.

    • The alert list provides the following information:

      Parameter Description

      Message

      The summary and details of the alert message. If the details of the message are not set, the Message column will display the summary of the alert rule group.

      Status

      The current status of the alert.

      • Verifying: The monitoring metrics meet the preset conditions but have not yet satisfied the preset duration.

      • Triggered: The monitoring metrics meet the preset conditions and have satisfied the preset duration.

      Alert Level

      Alert levels include Info, Warning, Important, and Critical.

      Rule Name

      The name of the alert rule.

      Rule Group

      The name of the alert rule group.

      Monitoring Target

      The type and name of the monitoring target that generated the alert.

      Trigger Time

      The time when the rule group status changes from Untriggered to Verifying.

    • In the list above, click the search box and set search criteria to search for alerts by alert content, alert status, alert level, and rule name.

    • Click refresh in the upper right corner of the list to refresh the list information.

    • Click cogwheel in the upper right corner of the list to customize the information displayed in the list.
