This section describes how to reset built-in rule groups.

For built-in rule groups, after editing the preset alert rules, you can reset the rule group to restore the default alert rules.

Note
  • KubeSphere only supports resetting built-in rule groups and does not support resetting custom rule groups.

  • There are no built-in rule groups in projects.

Warning

Rule groups cannot be recovered after reset. Please perform this operation with caution.

Prerequisites

  • The WizTelemetry Alerting extension must be installed and enabled on the KubeSphere platform.

  • You need to join a cluster and have the Rule Group Management permission in the cluster. For more information, see Cluster Members and Cluster Roles.

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console as a user with Rule Group Management permissions and enter your cluster.

  2. Click Monitoring and Alerting > Rule Groups in the left navigation pane.

  3. On the Rule Groups page, click Built-in Rule Groups to open the rule group list.

  4. On the right side of the rule group you want to reset, click more, and then select Reset from the dropdown list.

  5. In the Reset Rule Group dialog box, click OK.
