This section describes how to delete an alert rule group.

Note

KubeSphere only supports deleting custom rule groups and does not support deleting built-in rule groups.

Warning

Rule groups cannot be recovered after deletion. Please perform this operation with caution.

Prerequisites

  • The WizTelemetry Alerting extension must be installed and enabled on the KubeSphere platform.

  • You need to join a cluster or project and have the Rule Group Management permission in the cluster or project. For more information, please refer to Cluster Roles and Project Roles.

Delete a Single Rule Group

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console as a user with Rule Group Management permissions and navigate to your cluster or workspace.

  2. Click Monitoring & Alerting > Rule Groups in the left navigation pane.

  3. On the right side of the rule group you want to delete, click more, then select Delete from the dropdown list.

  4. In the Delete Rule Group dialog box, enter the name of the rule group, then click OK.

Delete Rule Groups in Batches

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console as a user with Rule Group Management permissions and navigate to your cluster or workspace.

  2. Click Monitoring & Alerting > Rule Groups in the left navigation pane.

  3. Select the checkboxes on the left of the rule groups you want to delete, and then click Delete above the rule group list.

  4. In the Batch Delete Rule Groups dialog box, enter the names of the rule groups, and then click OK.

    Use commas (,) and spaces to separate multiple names.
