Query Resource Events
This section describes how to query resource events.
Resource events: Events for various resources such as application workloads, Jobs, pods, Services, Ingresses, etc.
KubeSphere supports querying resource events within a user’s permission scope, whether as a regular user or a cluster administrator.
Query Events as a Regular User
Prerequisites
The WizTelemetry Events extension must be installed and enabled on the KubeSphere platform.
Query Resource Events

Log in to the KubeSphere web console.

Click Component Dock > WizTelemetry Observability Platform.

Click Logging > Event Query in the left navigation pane.

On the Event Query page, set search criteria to query events.

If there are multiple clusters, click the Cluster dropdown list to query events in a specific cluster.

Click the search box, set search criteria, and then press Enter to view events that meet specific conditions. You can set multiple search criteria simultaneously.

On the query results page, you can view the time distribution chart of events. Click on a bar in the chart to switch to the event list for that time period. Click
/
to start/stop real-time data refresh. Click the time next to Refresh Frequency to select the data refresh rate.

In the upper right corner of the query results list, click
to customize the information displayed in the list.

Click an event entry in the query results to view its detailed information.

Query Events as a Cluster Administrator
Prerequisites

You need to join a cluster and have the cluster-admin permission in the cluster. For more information, see Cluster Members and Cluster Roles.

The WizTelemetry Events extension must be installed and enabled on the KubeSphere platform.

Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has cluster-admin permissions and enter your cluster.

Click Logging > Event Query in the left navigation pane.

On the Event Query page, set search criteria to query events.
