Enable Log Collection in a Project

This section describes how to enable log collection in a project.

Note
Once enabled, the Collect Logs on Volumes feature will be available on the Storage Settings tab when creating workloads, services, and Jobs in the project.

Prerequisites

You need to join a project and have the project-admin permission in the project. For more information, see Project Members and Project Roles.

The KubeSphere platform needs to have the WizTelemetry Logging extension installed and enabled, and log collection must be enabled.

Steps

Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has project-admin permissions and enter your workspace.
Click Project Management > Project List in the left navigation pane.
On the right side of the project you want to operate, click , and then select Enable Log Collection from the drop-down list.
In the Enable Log Collection dialog box, click OK.

Note
After enabling log collection, you need to restart the pods for it to take effect on existing pods. For more information, please refer to Re-create a Workload, Rerun a Job, or Delete Pods.
