Log receivers are used to collect various types of system logs. Configure or add log receivers to send log data from WizTelemetry Logging, WizTelemetry Auditing, WizTelemetry Events, and notification history to external log receivers.

KubeSphere supports collecting the following types of logs:

  • Container Logs: Logs obtained from the standard output of containers. The content of container logs is determined by the application running in the container.

  • Resource Events: Events for various resources such as application workloads, Jobs, pods, Services, Ingresses, etc.

  • Audit Logs: Records of requests received by the KubeSphere API server.

  • Notification History: Records of alert notifications sent by the KubeSphere platform to users.

Note

After installing and enabling any one of the four extensions—WizTelemetry Logging, WizTelemetry Events, WizTelemetry Auditing, and WizTelemetry Notification—the Log Receivers option will appear under the Logging menu in the left navigation pane of the cluster. The Log Receivers page will then display the corresponding tabs.
