This section describes how to edit project information.

You can edit the alias and description of a project. KubeSphere does not support editing the name of a created project.

Prerequisites

  • The Application Management for Cluster Federation extension must be installed and enabled on the KubeSphere platform.

  • You need to join a workspace and have the Federated Project Management permission in the workspace. For more information, see Workspace Members and Workspace Roles.

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has Federated Project Management permissions and enter your workspace.

  2. Click Federated Project in the left navigation pane.

  3. On the right side of the project you want to operate, click more, then select Edit from the dropdown list.

  4. In the Edit Information dialog box, set the alias and description for the project, then click OK.

    Parameter Description

    Alias

    The alias of the project. Different projects can have the same alias.

    Description

    The description information for the project. The description can contain any characters, up to a maximum of 256 characters.
