Deploy an App from an App Template
This section describes how to deploy an app from an app template on the App Store Management page.
Prerequisites

You need to have the App Store Management permission on the KubeSphere platform. For more information, see Users and Platform Roles.

The KubeSphere App Store Management extension must be installed and enabled on the KubeSphere platform.
Steps

Log in to the KubeSphere web console as a user with App Store Management permissions.

In the upper right corner of the page, click the
icon and select App Store Management. -
Click Deployment Management in the left navigation pane.

Click Create on the page.

In the Create App dialog box, click From App Template.

On the App Template page, click the Current Workspace drop-down list and select Current Workspace or an app repository.

Click the app template you want to use, and then click Install.
Note App templates are created by workspace members with relevant permissions, and app repositories are created by App Store administrators. For more information, see Create an App Template and Add an App Repository.

On the Basic Information tab, set the basic information of the application, then click Next.
Parameter Description Name
The user-defined name of the application. The name can only contain lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens (-), must start with a lowercase letter and end with a lowercase letter or number, with a maximum length of 32 characters.
Version
The version of the application.
Description
The description of the application. The description can contain any characters, with a maximum length of 256 characters.
Location
The workspace, cluster, and project to which the application belongs.

On the Application Settings tab, set the functional parameters of the application as needed, then click Install.
Note For more information about app feature parameters, contact the app provider.
After the app is created, it will be displayed in the app list.
