This section describes how to create, edit, and delete app categories.

Prerequisites

  • You need to have the App Store Management permission on the KubeSphere platform. For more information, see Users and Platform Roles.

  • The KubeSphere App Store Management extension must be installed and enabled on the KubeSphere platform.

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console as a user with App Store Management permissions.

  2. In the upper right corner of the page, click the grid icon and select App Store Management.

  3. Click App Categories in the left navigation pane.

  4. On the App Categories page, create, edit, or delete app categories as needed.

    • Click add in the upper right corner of the app category list. In the dialog box that appears, set the name and icon for the app category, then click OK to create it.

    • Click pen on the right side of an existing app category to edit its name and icon.

    • Click trash-light on the right side of an existing app category, then click OK in the dialog box that appears to delete the app category.

      Note

      Before deleting an app category, you need to reassign the apps in that category to other categories or set them as Uncategorized.
