This section describes how to modify project member roles.

Prerequisites

You need to join a DevOps project and have the Project Member Management permission in the project. For more information, see "DevOps Project Members" and "DevOps Project Roles".

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has Project Member Management permissions and enter your workspace.

  2. Click DevOps > DevOps Project Management in the left navigation pane.

  3. Click DevOps Project Members to open the project member list.

  4. Select a project from the drop-down list in the upper left corner of the page.

  5. Click more on the right side of the project member you want to operate on, then select Modify Role.

  6. In the Modify Role dialog box, set the role for the project member, then click OK.

    KubeSphere provides the following preset project roles:

    Role Description

    admin

    Project administrator, has all permissions within the project.

    operator

    Project operator, has all permissions within the project except for project settings management, role management, and member management.

    viewer

    Project viewer, has resource viewing permissions within the project.
