Create a DevOps Project
This section describes how to create a DevOps project.
Prerequisites

You have an available workspace (not
system-workspace).

You need to join a workspace and have the DevOps Project Creation permission in the workspace. For more information, see Workspace Members and Workspace Roles.

The DevOps extension must be installed and enabled on the KubeSphere platform.
Steps

Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has DevOps Project Creation permissions and enter your workspace.

Click DevOps > DevOps Project Management in the left navigation pane.

Click Create on the page.

In the Create DevOps Project dialog box, set the parameters for the DevOps project, and then click OK.
Parameter Description Name
The name of the DevOps project. The name can only contain lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens (-), must start with a lowercase letter and end with a lowercase letter or number, with a maximum length of 63 characters.
Alias
The alias of the DevOps project.
Description
The description of the DevOps project. The description can contain any characters and can be up to 256 characters long.
Cluster Settings
The cluster available for the DevOps project. Resources in the DevOps project run in the cluster selected here.
After the DevOps project is created, you can invite users to join the DevOps project and deploy services within it.
