This section describes how to delete a PersistentVolumeClaim.

Warning

A PersistentVolumeClaim cannot be recovered after deletion, and by default, the corresponding PersistentVolume will also be deleted. Please perform this operation with caution to avoid data loss.

Prerequisites

  • You need to join a project and have the Persistent Volume Claim Management permission in the project. For more information, see Project Members and Project Roles.

  • Please back up the data in the backend storage area in advance to avoid data loss.

Delete a Single Persistent Volume Claim

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has Persistent Volume Claim Management permissions and enter your workspace.

  2. Click Storage > Persistent Volume Claims in the left navigation pane.

  3. Select a project from the drop-down list in the upper left corner of the page.

  4. On the right side of the persistent volume claim you want to delete, click more, and then select Delete from the drop-down list.

  5. In the Delete Persistent Volume Claim dialog box, enter the name of the persistent volume claim, and then click OK.

Delete Persistent Volume Claims in Batches

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has Persistent Volume Claim Management permissions and enter your workspace.

  2. Click Storage > Persistent Volume Claims in the left navigation pane.

  3. Select a project from the drop-down list in the upper left corner of the page.

  4. Select the checkbox on the left of the persistent volume claim you want to delete, then click Delete above the persistent volume claim list.

  5. In the Batch Delete Persistent Volume Claims dialog box, enter the name of the persistent volume claim, then click OK.

    Use commas (,) and spaces to separate multiple names.
