This section describes how to delete a pod.

Note
  • It is recommended to delete a pod by deleting its managing resource (such as a workload or Job), rather than deleting the pod directly.

  • If you delete a pod directly, depending on the policy of the pod’s managing resource, the system may recreate the pod.

Warning

Deleting a running pod may cause business interruption. Please perform this operation with caution.

Prerequisites

You need to join a project and have the Application Workload Management permission in the project. For more information, see Project Members and Project Roles.

Delete a Single Pod

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has Application Workload Management permissions and enter your workspace.

  2. Click Application Workloads > Pods in the left navigation pane.

  3. Select a project from the drop-down list in the upper left corner of the page.

  4. On the right side of the pod to be deleted, click more, then select Delete from the dropdown list.

  5. In the Delete Pod dialog box, enter the name of the pod, then click OK.

Delete Multiple Pods in Batches

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has Application Workload Management permissions and enter your workspace.

  2. Click Application Workloads > Pods in the left navigation pane.

  3. Select a project from the drop-down list in the upper left corner of the page.

  4. Select the checkbox on the left of the pod you want to delete, and then click Delete above the pod list.

  5. In the Batch Delete Pods dialog box, enter the name of the pod and click OK.

    Note

    Use commas (,) and spaces to separate multiple names.
