This section describes how to view Job details.

Prerequisites

You need to join a project and have the Application Workloads View permission in the project. For more information, see Project Members and Project Roles.

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has Application Workloads View permissions and enter your workspace.

  2. Click Application Workloads > Jobs in the left navigation pane.

  3. Select a project from the drop-down list in the upper left corner of the page.

  4. On the Job page, click Job or CronJob, then click the name of a job in the list to open its details page.

  5. On the Job details page, view the resource attributes of the Job in the Attributes area.

    Parameter Description

    Cluster

    The cluster to which the Job belongs.

    Project

    The project to which the Job belongs.

    Status

    The current status of the Job.

    • Running: The Job is currently running.

    • Completed: The Job has run successfully and is completed.

    • Failed: The Job has failed to run.

    Max Retries

    The maximum number of times the pods in the Job can be restarted. If the Job completion condition is not met after reaching the maximum number of retries, the Job will be marked as failed. Displayed only for regular Jobs.

    Pods Completed

    The number of pods that must successfully complete to mark the Job as completed. Displayed only for regular Jobs.

    Parallel Pods

    The number of pod replicas running in parallel in the Job. Displayed only for regular Jobs.

    Max Running Time

    The maximum running time of the Job, in seconds. If the Job completion condition is not met after reaching the maximum running time, the Job will be terminated and marked as failed. Displayed only for regular Jobs.

    Schedule

    The CRON expression for the running cycle of the CronJob. Displayed only for CronJobs.

    Max Starting Delay

    The maximum delay time for starting the Job when it fails to start as scheduled for some reason. Displayed only for CronJobs.

    Successful Jobs History Limit

    The number of successful Jobs allowed to be retained. The default value is 3. Displayed only for CronJobs.

    Failed Jobs History Limit

    The number of failed Jobs allowed to be retained. The default value is 1. Displayed only for CronJobs.

    Concurrency Policy

    The strategy the system adopts when multiple Jobs created by a CronJob overlap.

    • Run Jobs Concurrently: New Jobs and old Jobs run concurrently.

    • Skip New Job: The new Job is not run.

    • Skip Old Job: The old Job is terminated immediately and then the new Job is run.

    Displayed only for CronJobs.

    Creation Time

    The creation time of the Job.

    Creator

    The user who created the Job.

  6. On the Job details page, click the Run Records tab to view the run records of the Job.

    The system generates run records when a user manually reruns a regular Job or when a CronJob runs according to its schedule.

    For regular Jobs, the Run Records tab displays the following information:

    Parameter Description

    Sequence

    The sequence number of the Job run, indicating which run the record corresponds to.

    Status

    The status result of each Job run.

    • Running: The Job is currently running.

    • Completed: The Job has run successfully and is completed.

    • Failed: The Job has failed to run.

    • Incomplete: The user manually reran the Job during its execution.

    Message

    The message returned by the Job run.

    Start Time

    The time when the Job started running.

    End Time

    The time when the Job finished running.

    For CronJobs, the Run Records tab displays the following information:

    Parameter Description

    Job

    The name of the regular Job created by the CronJob.

    Status

    The status of the regular Job created by the CronJob.

    • Running: The Job is currently running.

    • Completed: The Job has run successfully and is completed.

    • Failed: The Job has failed to run.

    Start Time

    The time when the regular Job started running.

    End Time

    The time when the regular Job finished running.

  7. For regular Jobs, click the Resource Status tab on the Job details page to view the number of pod replicas and the pods in the Job.

    Parameter Description

    Replicas

    The number of pod replicas in the Job.

    Pods

    The pods in the Job.

    • Click chevron-down to view information about the containers running in the pod.

    • Click the name of a pod to view its details.

    • Enter keywords in the search box above the pod list to search for pods by name.

    • Click refresh in the upper right corner of the pod list to refresh the list information.

  8. On the Job details page, click the Metadata tab to view the labels and annotations of the Job.

  9. For regular Jobs, click the Environment Variables tab on the Job details page to view the environment variables of all containers in the Job.

  10. On the Job details page, click the Events tab to view events related to the Job.

    Parameter Description

    Type

    The type of the event, including Normal and Warning.

    Reason

    The reason why the event occurred.

    Occurrence Time

    The time when the event occurred.

    Source

    The component that reported the event.

    Message

    The content of the event message.
