This section describes how to create a workspace.

Prerequisites

You need to have the a,q[**Workspace Creation**] permission on the KubeSphere platform.

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console as a user with Workspace Creation permissions.

  2. Click Workspace Management.

  3. On the page, click Create.

  4. On the Create Workspace page, set the basic information for the workspace, then click Next.

    Parameter Description

    Name

    The name of the workspace. The name can only contain lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens (-), must start and end with a lowercase letter or number, with a maximum length of 63 characters.

    Alias

    The alias of the workspace.

    Administrator

    The administrator of the workspace.

    Description

    The description information of the workspace. The description can contain any characters, with a maximum length of 256 characters.

  5. On the Cluster Settings tab, select the clusters to be authorized to this workspace (multiple clusters can be selected simultaneously). The resources in the workspace will be created on these clusters. Click OK.

    After creation is complete, the workspace will be displayed in the workspace list.
