This section introduces how to manage cluster roles.

Each cluster role contains specific cluster management or viewing permissions. You can grant roles containing specific permissions to cluster members to control their permissions within the cluster.

Note
  • In a multi-cluster system, the user who adds a cluster automatically becomes the cluster administrator. Additionally, the admin user of the KubeSphere platform has all permissions in all clusters by default. In the initial state of a cluster, the aforementioned users can invite other users to join the cluster and assign roles to users within the cluster.

  • KubeSphere currently does not support creating custom cluster roles. You can view information about built-in cluster roles in the KubeSphere web console.
