This section describes how to edit cluster visibility.

Prerequisites

You need to join a cluster and have the Cluster Settings Management permission in the cluster. For more information, see Cluster Members and Cluster Roles.

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has Cluster Settings Management permissions and enter your cluster.

  2. Click Cluster Settings > Cluster Visibility in the left navigation pane.

  3. On the right side of the page, click Edit Visibility.

  4. In the Edit Visibility dialog box, authorize or deauthorize workspaces, then click OK.

    • Click a workspace in the Unauthorized list to authorize the cluster to that workspace.

    • Click a workspace in the Authorized list to deauthorize the cluster from that workspace.

    • Toggle the Set as Public Cluster switch to authorize the cluster to all workspaces on the KubeSphere platform.

    Warning
    • Avoid authorizing the host cluster to workspaces whenever possible, as high load on the host cluster can lead to decreased stability of the multi-cluster system.

    • After removing a cluster’s authorization from a workspace, all resources belonging to that workspace in the current cluster will be deleted.
