This section describes how to edit cluster basic information.

Note

KubeSphere does not support modifying the name of an already added cluster.

Prerequisites

You need to join a cluster and have the Cluster Settings Management permission in the cluster. For more information, see Cluster Members and Cluster Roles.

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has Cluster Settings Management permissions and enter your cluster.

  2. Click Cluster Settings > Basic Information in the left navigation pane.

  3. On the Basic Information page, click Edit Information on the right.

  4. In the Edit Information dialog box, set the cluster’s alias, provider, description, and label, then click OK.

    Parameter Description

    Alias

    The alias of the cluster.

    Provider

    The provider of the cluster.

    Description

    The description of the cluster. The description can contain any characters, with a maximum length of 256 characters.

    Label

    Used to identify the purpose of the cluster. The value can be Production, Development, Testing, or Demo.
