View Persistent Volume Details
This section describes how to view the details of a persistent volume in a cluster.
Prerequisites
You need to join a cluster and have the Persistent Volume Claim View permission in the cluster. For more information, see Cluster Members and Cluster Roles.
Steps
-
Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has Persistent Volume Claim View permissions and enter your cluster.
-
Click Storage > Persistent Volume Claims in the left navigation pane.
-
On the Persistent Volume Claims page, click Persistent Volumes to open the persistent volume list, then click the name of a persistent volume to open its details page.
-
On the persistent volume details page, view the resource attributes of the persistent volume in the Attributes area.
Parameter Description Status
The current status of a Persistent Volume.
-
Available: The Persistent Volume is not bound to a PersistentVolumeClaim.
-
Bound: The Persistent Volume is already bound to a PersistentVolumeClaim.
-
Released: The PersistentVolumeClaim bound to the Persistent Volume has been deleted, but the Persistent Volume itself has not been deleted.
-
Failed: The Persistent Volume has an unknown error.
Capacity
The capacity size of the backend storage area.
Access Mode
Read and Write Modes for Persistent Volumes.
-
RWO (ReadWriteOnce): Allows a single node to read data from and write data to the persistent volume.
-
ROX (ReadOnlyMany): Allows multiple nodes to read data from the persistent volume.
-
RWX (ReadWriteMany): Allows multiple nodes to read data from and write data to the persistent volume.
Storage Class
The storage class corresponding to the persistent volume claim. For more information about storage classes, refer to Storage Classes.
Volume Handle
The unique identifier of the persistent volume in the backend storage system.
Reclaim Policy
Reclaim policy of the persistent volume. The KubeSphere platform uses the Delete reclaim policy by default, which means the persistent volume is deleted when the persistent volume claim is deleted. For more information, refer to the Kubernetes official documentation.
Volume Mode
The device type of the persistent volume.
-
Filesystem: The persistent volume is mounted to the container as a filesystem for the container to use.
-
Block: The persistent volume is provided to the container as a block device.
Creation Time
The creation time of the persistent volume.
-
-
On the Resource Status tab, view information about the persistent volume claim corresponding to the persistent volume.
Parameter Description Name
The name of the Persistent Volume Claim.
Storage Class
The storage class used to create the PersistentVolumeClaim.
Creation Time
The creation time of the Persistent Volume Claim.
Provisioner
The storage plugin used by the storage class.
Capacity
The capacity size of the backend storage area.
-
-
Click the Metadata tab to view the labels and annotations of the persistent volume.
-
Click the Events tab to view the events of the persistent volume.
Parameter Description Type
The type of the event, including Normal and Warning.
Reason
The reason why the event occurred.
Occurrence Time
The time when the event occurred.
Source
The component that reported the event.
Message
The content of the event message.
