This section describes how to edit Secret information.

You can edit the alias and description of a Secret. KubeSphere does not support editing the name of a Secret.

Prerequisites

You need to be a member of a cluster and have the cluster-admin role within the cluster.

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console as a user with the cluster-admin role and go to your cluster.

  2. Click Configuration > Secret in the left navigation pane.

  3. On the right side of the Secret you want to operate, click more, then select Edit Information from the drop-down list.

  4. In the Edit Information dialog box, set the alias and description for the Secret, then click OK.

    Parameter Description

    Alias

    The alias of the Secret. Aliases for different Secrets can be the same.

    Description

    The description of the Secret. The description can contain any characters, up to a maximum of 256 characters.
