This section describes how to delete a pod.

Note
  • It is recommended to delete a pod by deleting its managing resource (such as a workload or Job), rather than deleting the pod directly.

  • If you delete a pod directly, depending on the policy of the pod’s managing resource, the system may recreate the pod.

Warning

Deleting a running pod may cause business interruption. Please perform this operation with caution.

Prerequisites

You need to join a cluster and have the Application Workload Management permission in the cluster. For more information, see Cluster Members and Cluster Roles.

Delete a Single Pod

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has Application Workload Management permissions and enter your cluster.

  2. Click Application Workloads > Pods in the left navigation pane.

  3. On the right side of the pod to be deleted, click more, then select Delete from the dropdown list.

  4. In the Delete Pod dialog box, enter the name of the pod, then click OK.

Delete Pods in Batches

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has Application Workload Management permissions and enter your cluster.
