This section describes how to generate a template based on an existing workload.

Prerequisites

You need to join a cluster and have the Application Workload Management permission in the cluster. For more information, see Cluster Members and Cluster Roles.

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has Application Workload Management permissions and enter your cluster.

  2. Click Application Workloads > Workloads in the left navigation pane.

  3. On the Workloads page, click Deployments, StatefulSets, or DaemonSets to open the workload list.

  4. On the right side of the workload you want to operate, click more, then select Generate Template from the dropdown list.

  5. In the Generate Template dialog box, enter the template name, select the project to which the template belongs, and then click OK.
