This section describes how to use the node terminal.

You can use the command-line terminal provided by KubeSphere to operate on nodes.

Prerequisites

You need to join a cluster and have the Node Management permission in the cluster. For more information, see Cluster Members and Cluster Roles.

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has Node Management permissions and enter your cluster.

  2. In the left navigation pane, select Nodes > Cluster Nodes to open the node list.

  3. On the right side of the node you want to operate on, click more, then select Open Terminal from the dropdown list.

    Note

    When opening the node terminal for the first time, the system may prompt about missing permissions because the related service has not started yet. If you encounter this situation, you can try again later.
